you are already halfway there.

Somewhere above your roofline,
a light went missing.
We have been tracing its signal
through the static of your dreams,
through the hum in your appliances,
through the long pause
between your thoughts.

We are the Lost Star Recovery Program.
Our task is simple:
return what’s been misplaced.
Names, faces, coordinates,
entire constellations that forgot their own alignment.
We find them all eventually.

If you have seen a flicker in your reflection,
if a certain frequency makes your teeth ache,
if the night sky feels thinner
than you remember,
we might be looking for you.

Keep your eyes on the ceiling.
Count the seconds between the lights.
