The Crown of Glass, my first ever completed writing project, has taught me so much about not only the world of writing but also myself. Originally, the book came together from a bunch of loose story ideas that I could never solidify into one strong narrative, and I approached the story of The Crown in a way that most probably wouldn't: blending all of those ideas together.
This very first book was published in August, 2025, with the intent of it being a small indie project that I could have fun with. To my surprise, I sold a significant amount of copies, more than I imagined, even during the pre-order phase. I spent months drafting, building my website, writing all the ideas I could ever have, and learning so much about the field of poetry that I feel that novel-in-verse is my go-to.
During this time, I rewrote a lot of The Crown of Glass to be far more professional, coherent, and consistent.
"Bizarre Tales" is the name of the official show that this story would take place in, and is hosted by yours truly.
With this rewrite, the core and heart and passion are all still there, but the poetry has become grounded and perfected. I can be a wild writer, though, and I often find myself getting caught in the "it makes sense to me so it'll make sense to everyone" mindset, so help is what I surely need (mentally and literally.)
If you're interested, "Bizarre Tales - The Crown of Glass" will be needing beta readers. Essentially, you'll receive an early copy of what's to come, and provide feedback.
